You wake up one morning and you find yourself single. Single Parent, Single Senior, where do you start? I have run a successful dating service for over 10 years and have heard the heartbreaking stories of people finding themselves single after 25 years of marriage, from Seniors who lose their partner and find themselves so lonely they can barely function.
Where would you start? There are thousands of businesses out there that offer "Dating Services". You can pay as little as $19.95 per month to thousands of dollars to the "Elite personalized dating companies".. I would like to talk about the latter. I was once asked why I do not provide a service that personally interviews singles and match them up. I did research this form of matchmaking and found the costs for this type of service was too much to bear for most of my single customers. Some people will not pay anything to meet a partner and find ways on the Internet to post personal ads. But if you are cautious, or weary of these kind of ads, where will you go? Free online dating is out there, but how do you know who you are meeting. They could be a scammer from Nigeria, or not even single at all. At least with paid sites a credit card has to be used which could be traced. Finding a partner has to be the single most biggest decision a person makes yet some will not pay for the service. If you use an employment agency to find you work there are costs involved. They have the resources to find you a job based on your experience, and have a database of employers they can match with you.
Bar Scene
Still hope you will meet someone in a bar? If you are a single parent, a senior or someone that does not drink you would never go to a bar to meet someone.
Singles Dances
The problem with regular dances is that the same people come all the time. It soon gets stale and people stop coming or will only come once. Also it is difficult to find a regular place to hold dances so the costs and time to arrange them becomes a headache.
Make 2009 the year of great choices.
