The site could make for some nice misdirected traffic.:-) Perhaps you can use it as a landing page for an info product about Elance?

They are big, and if you tried to clone what they do then they would have every right to get the name. I just saw where a dating site purchased a well known college domain name. It confused so many people, they complained and the site was turned over.
