We created Branding Services.org so buyers both large and small can come together and share their stories, get real professional advice, and find a true pro to help with all their branding needs.

Who Should Join?

Anyone who is creative in their chosen profession!

Branding Services will become a giant water cooler of creative professionals. We have gathered here today to share experiences, network with others in related and similar fields.

All we ask of our members is that you act politely and provide advice to people without hesitation.

Visitors to our website will be asking your opinions on their work... their photography, their writing, and their branding and advertising efforts.

Naturally our instinct to recommend ourselves as providers of these services will be the order of the day.... and self promotion is of course encouraged.

That said, I would never offer up my services as a copywriter for example. So... someone who comes in and asks a question with regard to copywriting might be best served by hearing everyone's opinion and then speaking privately with one of the copywriters we have on board.

We all have our industry contacts... this is a place to let my contacts become yours.... and yours become mine. It's an exchange of resources which will help all of our businesses thrive.

We have noticed an incredible lack of quality coming from designers, copywriters and programmers from all parts of the world. We hear horror stories every single day about some client who hired a kid to design their brochure, or some company in Babbaganoosh, India that took their website project and never came back... or worse, they came back with some non-functional piece of garbage that needed to be completely re-created, wasting the client's time and money!

Since the advent of bidding sites such as Elance and others, their seems to be no shortage of so-called professionals from around the globe seducing consumers by offering outrageous, bottom-of-the-barrel prices for various creative media projects. These sheisters mislead the consumer market and cheapen and spoil the creative industries by driving costs into the ground, while at the same time provide unsuspecting consumers with products that are considered disappointing and inferior at best.

Branding Services.org is a place where consumers can come to get the information they need to get the job done right the first time! Simply ask a question in a forum, and one of our members will answer you.

We created Branding Services.org with the intention of nipping some of this stuff in the bud, where buyers AND SELLERS of creative services (both large and small) can come together and share their stories, get real professional advice, and find a true pro to help with all their branding needs.

HERE'S A TRUE STORY:
Just last week I had a client come to me through my site at 5webdesign.com with the following logo. He had it designed by a very well known firm on Elance out of Brazil:


This logo was so bad we had to offer him a free logo just to get his packaging done right. It's busy with far too many elements and doesn't speak at all to what he does.

So, we asked him some questions and came up with this:


Now, had our community at BrandingServices.org been consulted, we could have saved Bi-State the expense of hiring that first company. We could have shown them the right way to go about doing their project.

In essence, Branding Services.org serves two purposes:

1. To help people find the talent to do their job RIGHT... the first time by providing FREE advice.

2. To provide a community--a social network-- for providers looking to do quality work for fair prices.
